When they say steak sandwich, they meant the entire cow. Great ingredients, German beers plus meals and drinks under $20. To set expectations , it’s a suburbanite cafe. No hipster gimmicks, no trendy stuff. But the owner is hip and bringing some flavor to the suburbs.

From the moment we walked in the door, our party of six felt welcomed. Service was attentive the moment we sat down. Food - I'm not a biscuit gravy fan but theirs was very good. I even wanted to take some back home to Ohio. I look forward to bringing my mom back the next time I am in town.

Old school diner feel. Staff is super friendly. We went for breakfast. I had a breaded porkchop with eggs and potatoes. Good seasoned cubed potatoes.....not the shredded. It was delicious.

Just all around good. Clean, friendly & consistent. Smaller groups, 4's a good number. Yes, definitely meeting my friends again here.

Pretty small place, you might need to wait a bit for a table but it is well worth it. We had a small table for two, and were taken care of by several people. It was very full, comfortable, lots of conversations going on, partly due to a sign that says they have no wifi, pretend it's 1985 and talk to someone, and partly because it just feels like you are visiting a good friends house. Make yourself at home type of situation. The staff was very pleasant and the food was amazing with pretty generous portions. We had waffles, French toast, eggs, potatos, bacon, sausage patties, coffee, orange juice. Plenty of leftovers for sure.

Warm welcoming local gem. First timers are in for a treat, as the many regulars already know. First off the crew work as one terrifically well run group, efficient, effective and kind. Solid selection of breakfast staples, visit one, I chose the egg white omelette a perfect blend of greens and cheese, complimented with crispy potatoes and delicious sourdough. Plenty to take 1/2 home for breakfast the next day. The house coffee was a fine addition, strong and smooth. Lunch is top notch too. Later reviews: special, double cheese special- so so good, the meat was tender and flavorful, the bun complimentary- and held up during meal and two reheats at home. Bacon was really good, veggies and condiments just right. A big meal equaled two full meals and a snack. The BEST tater tots ever. Do something nice for your tastebuds, get into Spring Lake today.

Spring Lake Cafe is one of those special places that feels a little harder to find these days. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm, friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere that reminds you of the good old days. It's the kind of place where you can settle in over a cup of coffee and feel like you're catching up with an old friend. The food is always lovely, the staff genuinely care, and there's a wholesome sense of community that keeps people coming back. We're lucky to have a place like this in the neighborhood.

Very cute small local cafe. We had the blueberry pancake breakfast and the your-way-omelette (you can put all the choices if you like to). Both the food and services were excellent. We will come back soon!!

Small, local cafe with usual menu items. It’s well-loved by the community. Street parking is somewhat limited. We visit often and the food is always good!

Food was delicious and staff was very friendly. Felt comfortable atmosphere. We arrived a little after breakfast serving time but was still able to order some available dishes from breakfast menu.
